North Texas has got a lot going on when it comes to new spots to eat at, spa at and relax at. It’s definitely different from the place I moved to in 2017. I’ve discovered new favorite places and seen those same places close down during COVID. Only for other places to replace them.
I’m sure as you can see by the lack of content here and on my instagram, I haven’t been posting or seeking out places to try in a while. Life feels like a really weird dream sometimes — but I guess that happens as you age. But that’s a subject for hazearella, not here. Well, not entirely here and not in this post.
My 7th wedding anniversary was late last month and it’s hard to believe it’s been seven years. Time passes 3x faster when you have kids, I swear. The five years of my previous marriage felt like 7 lifetimes, I swear.
The current events happening in the states lately have jacked my anxiety way up so I was unsure if I was even up to leaving the house — since I’ve been avoiding it since January — but I figured I needed to get out this day, I just NEEDED to. So I dressed up, and convinced myself it will be okay.
And honestly, I’m so glad I went. I had a great day. And we both loved everything we tried!

I stumbled on Le Margot while searching for new places to eat. I do know this use to be a Corner Bakery I use to frequent before they closed down and seeing the inside of it now as Le Margot was… strange. It’s amazing how they transformed the space!
We managed to make it for brunch, which honestly I really wanted to go to anyway and it did not disappoint. It might actually be my new favorite brunch spot!
I started with the Cold Water Oysters which were AMAZING along with the Potato Leek Bisque (which was amazing with the starter bread). I then got the Margot Eggs Benedict with Salmon which tasted anything but smoked. It was fluffy and flaky. With a side of Asparagus and Bacon which was so good I ordered another to go. I also got the Ooh La La Cocktail which was… strong.
My husband got the Short Rib Hash which was so good. He also got the Brioche French Toast to share; the hash was so comforting and such a cozy dish. Don’t ask me to choose between the two because honestly everything was amazing. Even the starter bread. The cocktail I’d probably pass on even though the Cotton Candy on top has got to be some of the best ones I’ve ever had. The texture was different from the usual and the taste was stronger than most.
Overall we really enjoyed this meal at Le Margot, the servers were so nice and their sparkling water was really good. I totally forgot what brand it is now and I really want to find it lol. I’m sure we will definitely be back!
