I didn’t really try much in 2025, at least not as much as I wanted to and I didn’t travel at all, so, that sucks. But in 2025 I found so many foods that I ended up obsessed with — some that were limited edition and I am still mourning their departure and some that I guess I just never noticed because… I have no idea.
I don’t know why I don’t notice things in places I frequent sometimes, I have no reasoning for that.
Anyway, here are the Top 5 Eats of My 2025;

Whataburger Grilled Cheese + Tomato
I don’t care what you have to say about this. Yes I get the Whataburger kids meal cause it has a grilled cheese and yes I add tomato and yes it is fire. I’m not a fan of Whataburger so for me to even find something I like there, I mean, I’ll take it. Their fries still need help though… lots of help.

Chick Fil A Dragonfruit Lemonade
Look. Chick Fil A. It’s bad enough ya’ll are still closed on Sundays and that sometimes you don’t even have Chicken Noodle Soup. I’m still mad ya’ll got rid of that Lemon Meringue Pie ya’ll had back in the day but I’ll forgive you for this Dragonfruit Lemonade.
There are a few drinks that can remedy a migraine of mine. One being the Lavender Lemonade from Disney World’s Flower & Garden Festival that only comes once a year and the other being this. I am HOPING so hard that they bring this back this summer because I need it.

Ranch 99 Dim Sum
You know how I said I sometimes don’t notice things I frequent? If there’s anything you should know about me and food it’s that I am a sucker for this particular Dim Sum and I will throw a straight up tantrum if I’m craving them. But they’re a bit hard to find around here.. or so I thought. Recently discovered that Ranch 99 has a Dim Sum section. Open. Every. Day. Imagine my self frustration at finding that out. Especially considering how often I’m IN RANCH 99?!
DFW doesn’t have a Seafood City yet and I’m not holding my breath that it ever will, but Ranch 99 does feel like a piece of home. Minus the mall ours in Emeryville, CA was attached to.
They also have the Pork Buns that taste like Siopao that literally everyone but my oldest daughter in this household will fight over. Imagine my shock. I never leave Ranch 99 without both. Like, 3 orders of each because omg they’re also so cheap.

Whole Foods Smoked Salmon
I’m not a big fan of Smoked Salmon… like I’ll eat it on eggs or in a sandwich but I’ve had some pretty crappy at home Smoked Salmon experiences. I didn’t want to buy Avocado Toast because the last 2 I had ordered were not that good. So I decided to make my own at home, and add some Smoked Salmon, since my severe anemia diagnosis earlier in 2025, I’ve been on the hunt for anything I could be even slightly obsessed with to help with my iron deficiency.
I was not expecting to love this particular Smoked Salmon so much that I went back to the fridge and ate it out of the package. The whole thing. And got sad it was all gone. Then got even sadder that it was sold out for such a long time. Because of that, I went on a really crazy search for any other one that would taste similar and haven’t found one yet. I just keep hoping Whole Foods will have it in stock whenever I go back lol.

Tomato Flavored Chips
I love tomatoes. Like, I am PERFECTLY happy eating a sliced tomato with salt on top… I blame my ex husband for introducing me to that. But seriously, give me a bowl of sliced tomatoes with salt sprinkled on top and I am GOOD. My ex husband also once bought me a shirt that said “I put ketchup on my ketchup.” and it wasn’t and still isn’t a lie, just saying.
So when I spotted these at Teso, I had to get them. Actually we tend to get all the new not heard of chips and soda’s we spot at Teso because they’re just so much fun to try.
If you’re wondering how many tubes of these I had in that bag, the answer is 4.
Why? Because my youngest will literally scratch my face for them lol. That kid is violent when a food she likes is all gone! So I got her her own, which she promptly destroyed in one sitting. I don’t blame her, I did too.
Sigh.
Here’s to discovering even more food obsessions in 2026!
