One thing I absolutely enjoy doing is taking nice long strolls down the candy and snack isles of grocery stores. Central Market and Whole Foods being some of my favs. The unique chocolate bar flavor finds, the candies from other countries, something about it all just makes my candy loving ass so excited.
Here are 3 of my most recent finds;
Firstly are these Central Market brand chocolate bars. There were a ton to choose from but I opted for the Coconut Black Lava Sea Salt and the Pistachio & Cherry. I did not realize the second one was white chocolate! Even better! I’m such a sucker for white chocolate.
Chocolate bars that have a cause attached is even better!
This Love Cocoa one is Avocado with dark chocolate. I’m also a sucker for dark chocolate because of its health benefits. But dark chocolate and avocado?! Yes. Sign me up.
One thing I love love love is Pate de Fruit.
One day I’ll learn how to make these myself.
One day.
Not today though. Tomorrow isn’t looking too good either. But maybe before the year is over. At least, that’s the goal.
I hardly ever come across straight up Pate de Fruit at Central Market but sometimes I get lucky. I was super excited to find these little gems. While I do love Pate de Fruit in chocolate bonbons, it’s a happy thing to find them straight up. Texas needs a really great chocolate shop with a large selection like the ones in California. Hell even Florida. What the heck Texas?! Do people here just not appreciate high quality chocolate? You know what, don’t answer that.
I can’t wait to give these a try and hopefully find a new favorite. For every three chocolate bars I post, there are dozen’s that I haven’t posted or featured and I have a bit of regret about that. I’m trying to be better at blogging and food posting, please be patient with me as I crawl my way out of this dark hazy postpartum. It’s extra dark the fourth time around it seems.
Do you have any Central Market chocolate finds I should look out for on my next stroll?
